AR Drawing Commissioned by BPWomen In Silicon Roundabout, Excel Centre, London, UK.

In June 2019, Jayoon worked on a project sponsored by British Petroleum, using Microsoft HoloLens to produce a live drawing event as part of the ‘Women of Silicon Roundabout’ conference at ExCel Centre, London.

The commission itself was to draw people using the HoloLens and showcase the drawing process and the outcome via the screen. As an artist, Jayoon explored how this technology may redefine the act of drawing. With each swift movement, the hand no longer leaves traces on a surface but instead generates virtual 3D forms free from pigment or physical constraints. This technological intervention reimagines drawing as a process that seamlessly translates into immersive sculptural forms and extends beyond traditional boundaries.
